Clearing Skin On Photoshop
The first screen shot shows the artist I used before I used the Spot Healing Tool and the second screen shot shows the effect of the Spot Healing Tool.
Blurring Background In Photoshop
The first picture shows that I went around my artist by using the Lasso Tool and then pressed Modify and then clicked Feather.
The second screen shot shows that I right clicked the artist that I used the Lasso Tool and clicked Select Inverse which meant the background will change and not my artist.
Lastly after Inverting the image, I selected Filter and then Blur and then clicked Guassain Blur and changed the pixels to 6.

Photographs From Photoshoot
These photographs are all of the photographs that I have took for my music magazine front cover, contents page and double page spread. The location I chose was at Santon Downham which is fairly near where I live and it is a quiet place with a river, forest and a old small chapel. I felt like this location suited my idea of what I want is a forest location because I feel like the genre of the choice of genre I want goes really well with the location because the genre of music I chose is based around unsigned musicians so people would see this as "Indie" music and these photographs show this. These photographs show a sense of freedom and relaxation which suggests that the artist that I am using is herself and her music is very original and has a relaxing sound of acoustic guitar and a few other instruments but it isn't over done or really edited which I feel like these photographs really emphasises this point.
I took a lot of photographs that were different so I had a good range of photographs to choose from so I could play around and see which photographs will look good for my music magazine. I also took many picture portrait and landscape because my front cover and contents page will be portrait and my double page spread and some of the contents page images will be landscape.
I made sure that my artist's costume was similar to the location where I took my photographs. My artist is wearing a light pink flower crown, a green parker, pain white top, black high waisted skater skirt and white low top Converse with black tights. I really liked her costume because it gives the target audience of what style her music because music genres can be identified by the type of clothing the musician is wearing so it shows that the artist is not a very big artist, only starting out and a little Indie but also aimed at 16-25 year old girls that would wear this style which would attract them to read the magazine

Interview Article For Double Page Spread
This is the Interview article for my double page spread. I used the questions that I planned out to use as a base of what I would write about as I wanted a full article for my double page spread. I decided to be formal in my interview but not too formal because I wanted to feel like I was direct with my target audience which is similar to my age so I knew what sort of words to use and the content to add in the article.
I wanted to attract my target audience by using quotes from the artist so it didn't seem like it was just a description, I wanted them to feel like the artist is also very involved in the article.
The questions I asked which was planned out, are linked to the questionnaire that I sent to people about what they would want to read about about so I included a lot about touring, how to start out in music and future music with that artist because my target audience likes to find out about tours, upcoming music and new artists so I thought it was a big section to add in my double page spread article.

Questions For Double Spread Page Interview
These are the questions/plan for my double page spread. The first point is the introduction of artist. This shows me that I need to do this before writing out the article. Then I have the questions where they are my base for asking my artist and writing out the article so I would ask my artist these questions then I would note down what she says and quote some things that stand out to me and that would stand out to the reader and then I will pull all the information and write the article as a while so it fits together. This is a good idea because then I get an idea of what I will be writing back and what I am representing which is the start of my artists music career.
I got these questions from looking back at my surveys I did at the beginning where I was getting feedback from my target audience who was answering it (16-25 year old mostly female) which then shows me what they want to read about in the magazine which gave me ideas for questions to ask my artist.
Article Titles
These are the article titles for my contents page of what will feature inside my music magazine. I have included many article title to show that there is a lot read through.
The article titles that I have chosen are to attract my target audience. I have got titles such as "Top 20 Songs" and "Rising Stars of YouTube" as it gives the audience something new to listen to and it creates the genre of music which is the whole point of my music magazine is finding something new and new artists. These article titles make the magazine really fresh and interested to my target audience (16-21) as they are always wanting to find new music but also feel directly included as some of the article title means that the readers are included in the magazine.
Flatplans For Music Magazine
Double Page Spread - Page 2
Contents Page
Front Cover
Double Page Spread - First Page
These are rough flatplans for my music magazine that includes Front Cover, Contents Page and Double Page Spread. This gives me an idea of what I would like my layouts be but it just helps me figure out where conventions such as masthead, cover lines, pull quotes, main image and how wide the margins should be which keeps me organised in what my aims are for this magazines. I have included measurements because then I can be accurate when I am editing on InDesign because my magazine will be A4 or just a bit bigger so on InDesign it will be the layout just as I planned on my flatplans.

Colours Of Fonts
I have decided to choose this font to experiment colours with. I found out that dark and light colours go well together and also light and dark colours with the combination of fonts and photograph/background e.g.. dark photograph, light coloured font or light colour photograph, dark coloured font.
From looking at different colours for the font for my masthead gives me a good idea what colours to use for my cover lines as I want my masthead and cover lines to be similar but different tones so they look like they go well together. This helps me develop my ideas further because it means I can start thinking about my photo shoot because I now know if I want a light coloured font it is best to have a dark background on the photograph because it will make the masthead and cover lines stand out more and more readable.
