Primary Research - Magazine Analysis

The 3 magazine analysis helped with initial ideas for my music magazine. This helped for what target audience I want to look at so if I want a specific target audience I need to look at colour, layout, costumes, genre of music, cover lines and different fonts just like these three different magazines have done to show what their target audiences are.
Doing this analysis has also helped with looking at layout of different front covers, contents page and double page spreads which helps me find out what is needed on the front cover, contents page and double page spread such as what to put for the mast head, cover lines to put onto front cover and pull quotes on front cover and double page spread. Overall, its given me idea with creating my music magazine especially thinking about the audience and genre of music so thinking a lot about how it will stand out to the target audience if it was on a newstand in a shop (so would it appeal to the target audience or not).

Editing With Photoshop #2

College Magazine Edit Printscreens

The first screenshot is another attempt of producing my magazine cover. This time I went for a basic look for the background so I the girl I used for my cover stands out more from the colours she is wearing.
I also added a red masthead because the colour of the red relates to the girl's scarf so it works together.

In the second screenshot, I added text and to the side bar to show what my heading are. I chose black and red as my text colour because then it goes with what the girl is wearing and the masthead.
