Photographs For Double Page Spread

These are the settings I would like to use for my double page spread photographs to be set in when I am doing the photo shoot for my artist.
I chose these settings because I like how suttle the settings are so they aren't over the top so the focus is on the artist and not the setting.
These photographs give me the ideas for what sort of photographs I want for my actual photo shoot with the artist that I want. It has given me the idea that I want to have all the photographs done in a forest with a little river flowing because it fits well with the genre of music but also when I have produced the magazine it means the double page spread will look effective as their will be different colours but also looks interesting to then read.

Location For My Front Cover

These photographs I took show what kind of location I want for the cover of my music magazine. I chose the natural backgrounds as my magazine is based on unsigned artists so I don't want to over crowd the background and have the main focus on the artist.
These photographs that I took just walking around but it gives me inspiration for what I want to do for my actual photographs for my photo shoot with the artist I have. The idea that this has given me a location that includes nature so it fits in well with the genre of music as the music I am using is unsigned music and artists that are signed but just aren't recognised or are a independent label so the idea of a forest works really well because it will show that the music I all different but its mainly songs that have been written by themselves and used actual instruments to produce it (not produced all by computers and edited).

Inspirations for Photoshoot

This is my inspirations for my photoshoot. My aim is to attract 16-25 year olds so I did a bit of research into what outfits and hairstyles they wear. I then went into planning on the outfits by looking on Pinterest and Tumblr for the outfits, hair, location and pose of the artist I wanted or similar.
I did this planning because it gives myself an idea of how the photographs are going to look and turn out and to see how well these areas are going to mix with each other. This planning also helps because on the day of the photoshoot I know where I need to be, what the artist is going to wear and have hearstyles and the pose that she will be in for the front cover and the double page spread.

Different Fonts For The Front Cover

To start planning for my music magazine, I decided to experiment with different fonts that I have came up with by using the magazine title and seeing what possible outcomes I can have for the cover. Tjhis planning gives me an indication of where my magazine is goign in terms of starting the construction of my music magazine because it shows me how my magazine might be looking and it lets me move to the next step of sorting the colours out for the masthead because different colours suit different fonts.

I mainly used san-serif  fonts because I want a bold and big font for the masthead for the front cover for my music magazine. Having a san-serif font means that the magazine can attract the audiences eye because the masthead will stand out and look different to the photograph and cover lines so it doesn't blend in because it needs to stand out so the audience know what the magazine is called and can compete with the rest of the magazines if it was on the shelf in a shop with all the other music magazine

Press Release

I created a press release to outline the aim of my music magazine I am creating. It also includes its unique selling point, audience, price of the magazine, date so whether the magazine is going to be released monthly or weekly.
The press release also shows what events are coming up so it shows it is also doing other things apart from the magazine and including the audience through these events not just being direct with them through the magazine.
From doing a press release it means it can publicise the magazine to people and companies who would want to distribute eg. supermarkets and music stores such a HMV and music venues. It also shows who are the audience by saying it is going to be distributed also in colleges around the country which suggests that it is going to be at a reasonable price (£2). In the press release it also mentions what is going to be included in the magazine so people and companies know what to expect when the read it.
